God-ordained encounter

Tonight at four14, visiting pastor Rainer challenged young adults first to be fully committed to Christ since He provides true life and second to develop meaningful relationships in order to demonstrate and share that life with unbelievers. Prior to coming to the young adult gathering, the Lord had already brought to my mind the idea of visiting a Sowing Hope family, the parents of which had recently committed or recommitted their lives to Christ. Now after hearing the Biblical truth, the Lord prodded me and led me by His Spirit to visit them. He was compelling me to go for His name and their growth.
Upon knocking on the door, the father came outside and began talking with me. Asking how his family was, I found out that he had just had a conflict with his wife and that one of his children had left the house after an encounter with his wife. "It's like God sent you here at this time," he said. Yes, God had orchestrated this encounter and prodded me to minister to him and his family even before the conflicts had taken place according to His will.
Throughout the time I spent with him, the Lord led me to pray with him and (then later) his wife. I saw the Lord answer prayer even while I was still at their home: his child returned and I trust that the Lord used and will use my presence this evening for the purpose of growing him and his wife.
I didn't do anything spectacular. The Lord was the one who led me and used me, even in my weaknesses, to share His truth and love with a couple whom I had no idea had just experienced family conflict. I praise the Lord!!
